ADVANCED (X-RAY) WELDING COURSE
In view of the high demand for quality welders throughout the industrialized countries, especially in the Middle East, we are running an intensive training programme in Advanced Welding. The course includes both theoretical and practical training in almost all branches of welding such as SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, etc. This being a job-oriented course, we give more weightage to the practical side, and the trainees are required to do welding practice for about four hours daily. Because of the high demand and scarcity for qualified and experienced welders, several of our trainees are selected by our overseas clients even during their training period, and, as such this is a much sought-after course for the youngsters. On an average about sixty welders are being deployed abroad every month.
PIPE & STRUCTURAL FABRICATION COURSE
Another course highly in demand with the overseas employers is the Fabrication course in which we have courses both in Structural and Pipe Fabrication. In this course, almost equal weightage is given both to the theoretical as well as practical sides. Just like welding, this is also a job-oriented course and is highly in demand in the construction and maintenance industries. The students are thoroughly trained in the reading and interpretation of GAD, P & I Diagrams, Structural Drawings, Isometric Drawings, etc., as also in gas cutting, grinding, welding, etc.

Our Manpower Recruitment and Training Division has at its disposal the whole facilities coming under the Balanagar Technical Institute Association including the Balanagar Industrial Training Centre with a total area of about 125,000 sq. ft. and around 20 classrooms with all its workshops, Labs and equipments, as also, our other associate institutions like the MAGJ Hospital, Balanagar carpentry and furniture manufacturing facility, Balanagar Offset Printing Press, etc. As such trade tests are conducted by qualified and experienced inspectors for the various trades like Welding, Fabrication, Electrician (Industrial & House), Electronics Technician, Auto Mechanics (Petrol & Diesel), Auto Electrician, Painting, Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing, etc. and certificates are provided strictly according to merit and actual performance of the candidates.
