Balanagar Technical Institute Association (BTIA), was launched way back in 1972 as a “Social Welfare & Charitable Institution” by a small group of CST Brothers, and is a pioneer educational organization run by the CST brothers who have dedicated their lives for the noble cause of uplifting of the down trodden and weaker sections of the society, irrespective of their caste, creed, or colour.
Under the able leadership of these dedicated Brothers from time to time, the organisation has achieved enviable success in all its endeavours, and today it has been recognised as one of the most renowned "Service Institution" in this part of the country. Balanagar Industrial Training Centre (ITC) with over 1000 trainees. Besides Mookkannur, we have several other ITC’s and educational institutions in and outside the state
BTIA Manpower Recruitment Division registered with the Ministry of labour, Government of India.
Two High Schools – one following Kerala State Syllabus in Malayalam medium, and the other following CBSE Syllabus in English medium - with over 3000 students
A 250 bedded Multi-speciality Hospital with all modern facilities and a School of Nursing.
A Training Centre for Advanced Welding Technology equipped with state-of-the-art plant and machinery for training students in MMAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, etc
A well-equipped training centre for training students in Pipe/Structural Fabrication and Fitting.
A well-established Trade Test Centre, equipped with most modern machineries and accessories to test the skills of almost all categories of workers.
A well equipped Carpentry Training Centre and wooden furniture production centre manufacturing a wide range of top quality wooden furniture
A Steel Structural Engineering & Production Unit with over 100 workers manufacturing steel shelves, office tables, and other steel furniture.

| The Overseas Manpower Recruitment Division, which is supported by Advanced Training facilities and in-house trade testing facilities, was the result of BTIA’s endeavour to diversify further and help the job aspirants, especially the students who pass out from our ITC, to find overseas jobs through a reliable channel. |
